Niche versus SEO which works best 4 Your ebook

Let's start this by saying that there is NOTHING incorrect about placing your ebook in the blizzard of the ebook warehouses, and depending on key word searching to bring potential buyers to your offering.

BUT

The major difference between a search engine user and a niche focus community member is this :

A search prospect May or MAY NOT know what they find when arriving and might not find what they truly want.

A Niche focus community member has a clear understanding of their community needs and discussion topics, and when invited directly to your relevant ebook, the gap between needs and desires are shorter and the resistance is lower.

PLUS when a search prospect finds Your ebook MOST platforms make it impossible to share with their communities, while when inside a community the word of mouse is inherent and almost seamless.

So if You wish to have a more receptive market, more follower potential, and the most important, an appreciative readership, consider developing a niche marketing campaign.

How to Find a Community(or 3) Of Pre Readers for Your Ebook project

Since so much time is spent on composing and editing the material for an upcoming book, perhaps there is some value to the digital 'scraps' of information that results from the creative process. Here is what we learned while starting the pre release process for the 'Socially Responsible Ebook Publishing Guide' http://bit.ly/SocRespEbook2013

This approach actually has two core focus audiences:

A. Self Published authors who have a need to do something good with their works AND need a new and innovative approach(Marketing by Association) to reach more potential readers.

B. Socially Responsible coaches, consultants, and organizations(NPO's and NGO's) who have a story to convey to attract more supporters to their efforts.

So I simply went to Linked In, Faceboy(my name for FB), Orkut, Google +, and Yahoo Groups, and did a key word search on groups that aligned with those two themes above.

I joined those groups and observed the discussions and defined the group dynamic, and then carefully responded to postings(DO NOT post Your ebook links as a discussion as this is a waste of bandwidth). The responses were the excerpted edits from the ebook, and usually the persons in that discussion would ask the source of that information, which I would then link to this blog or FreEbook which contained the basic information.

So, what this means is that while writing and revising Your work, it is entirely Possible to start 'seeding' the potential readers market with excerpts and gain perspective of viability of Your forthcoming project.

Hope that helps a bit.

Scratching a 'Niche' Market OR How to NOT get lost in the ebook blizzard

He he gotta love loose metaphors eh?

Seems that most ebook marketing ideas are all about becoming YET another small ebook flake in the growing blizzard in the big storm centers(kindle, etc). Compelling arguments, yet there seems to be something missing in the equation.

Like...how do I reach not only the most likely reader for my ebook, but also get attention in communities which are already interested in my topic or subject matter.

Well instead of spouting off about the theory OR professing to be some sort of Expert(nuff said) we invite YOU to breeze through our FreEbook on this subject, and see what we are actually doing for clients with Socially Responsible books and ebooks.

By UnPopular Demand the 5 Steps Guide EBook Lives

Ok Ok

So I only work with Socially Responsible Self Published authors. But that does not mean Your ebook can not benefit from what we have discovered through actual work in progress campaigns.

I DO NOT claim to be some viral malarketing person but will lay the channel and niche cards on the table for anyone to compare. I am considered a contrarian to the usual social media so called experts who I count a few as friends.

However, we found that ebooks MUST use niche marketing approach otherwise Your effort will just be another small flake in the blizzard of offerings.

2nd Edition Now available Here with Loads Of Niche Marketing advice

All information in this ebook is from actual case studies In Progress based on my nearly 45 combined years of publishing, technology, channel marketing, and research experiences.

The Five Simple Steps to An Ebook Niche Marketing Campaign

Ok Since I only personally train ebook self published folks with a Social Responsibility focus effort, and after being asked about the recipe we use, I decided to lay out the Five Most important steps, to bring a focused market's attention to Your offering. Devil in the details as usual, but then again the Ebook on this has some clues too.

See this FreEbook for the current updated version.

OK

Step #1 Find Your Most Likely Reader and Join Communities They Participate With. DO NOT attempt to create a unique community around Your ebook. Worst case of Ego based branding ever defined.

Step #2 Do a condensed version using Feedbooks as a sampler. Include a link at last page to actual Ebook offer. Think appeteaser approach.

Step #3 Make sure that WritingLife Kobo has Your ebook in inventory. Key to distribution strategy(see #4). See kobo here

Step #4 Get a gmail account related to book name. Set up google +, google map, and google email. Get inside google searchplex(antidote for SEO).

Step #5 Visit this map we designed for a client, and dream about having Your Ebook front and center in 100's of Buy Local IndieBound book locations.

Ok Bone Appetit.

Patrick
